Non for Profit Christmas Market
Many thanks to all who have supported this years
SMITHILLS CHRISTMAS MARKET.
In what has been a most difficult year your support has been truly amazing and so generous.
This year we have been able to give Urban Outreach (Christmas Dinner on Jesus) over £11,000.
We are still receiving monies and further donations so hope by the end we will surpass this amount even more.
Once again many thanks for every one of you who have supported SCM through your purchases & donations.
Happy Christmas
John & Adele on behalf of Smithills Fellowship
(St Peters Halliwell. Bolton).
Our online market is now closed for 2020.
Your support has been amazing, and way beyond what we had hoped for at the start of November.
We will be putting up the final amount raised in the next week, just collecting the last bits, but I can say its really encouraging.
We will be back again next year, live on the street December 4th 2021 and yes after this years success on-line for personalised gifts that opportunity to see whats for sale on the day from November 1st.
A Bit About Smithills Christmas Market
Supporting Urban Outreach Bolton
Since 2014 we have turned our road into a traditional Christmas Market for our community. Through this annual one day event, we have been raising money for Urban Outreach Bolton by the sale of homemade crafts, food and drink, singing, and providing a safe fun time for families and friends.
Taking a stroll through the market you would discover great Christmas decorations and gifts for your loved ones, and not forgetting to stop for some delicious treats and participate in our Carol singing.
This year 2020 we still aim to bring the market spirit alive for our community.
Starting with our online shopping market.
Our Charity & Pledge
Everyone should experience a little joy at Christmas, but we know for many it can be a sad time. Loneliness, family breakdown, bereavement, or having just too little money to celebrate the occasion are some of the reasons. So with the help and support of many individuals and agencies, this project is able to provide hampers to many who are struggling. The hampers contain everything that an individual or family needs to put on a traditional Christmas spread – right down to mince pies and Christmas crackers!
All the profits from this market are given to support Christmas Dinner on Jesus. Last year a total of 1263 hampers were distributed across our town, and shared with 4270 individuals. The need to support this cause in 2020 is even greater.

Smithills Christmas Market over the past 6 years has raised over £30k, to Urban Outreach. This year will be a huge challenge to reach the £7.5k we raised in 2019. So to celebrate 30 years of Urban outreach and to support the Charity, we are en- couraging you to join us by pledging £30 in acknowledgement of their 30 years and the 2020 Christmas Dinner on Jesus.
